This weekend i am here of all places, Kids Camp. I’m not saying that this is bad or anything like that, I have been looking forward to this for a while. But this weekend I’m looking at myself and realizing that I’m not where i want to be or I should say that I’m not where I feel that God wants me. I have noticed that I have put God in the back seat and have taken over the controls, because I know best or so i think. The first part is admitting that i have a problem the next step is…

Microsoft Creates Something Cool
Okay first off I have to say that I'm not always the biggest fan of Microsoft, well lets say it like this I like Microsoft but I think there products can be what I refer to 'Bloatwear' where I think there code just isn't the cleanest. But Microsoft has done it by creating Windows Live Writer, in fact that is what I'm using right now for this entry. Who would have though Microsoft supporting something that isn't there's and it was very easy. So fellow bloggers I would suggest taking a look at Windows Live Writer part of the MSN Live pack and make blogging easy again.

Obituary for Mr. Sense
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Mr. Common Sense.
Mr. Sense had been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such value lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and Reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge). His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate!; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Mr. Sense declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; but could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.
He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner.
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on; if not, join the majority and do nothing.

How Plastic is Your Jesus?
Life is filled with picture perfect people. Sometimes what appears to be perfect on outside is very different then what is on the inside. Living in the Christian Suburban neighborhood - the Christian Suburban workplace, the Christian Suburban Church - everything is so perfect.
What once was a relationship with God has become a "Lifestyle". Is this what God has for us? What have you surrounded yourself with instead of God? David Brooks writes: "the typical Disneyland American has been concerned with small and meaningless pleasures, pointless and easy self serving values. They have become too permissive and too open minded, too self indulgent and too timid. They are caught up in trivial images, relentless hurry, information gathering and superficial choices."
We call ourselves a Christian - but how can we be so hollow on the inside? Is it possible to show up on Sunday with a smile - attend a service, get into our trendy car with a Christian Fish sticker and get loss in the process?
Southern California - the land of the Mega Churches / Christian Lifestyle, Robert Schullers, Saddleback / Rick Warren, Calvary Chapels etc. Regardless of the Christian format - God is moving in Southern California - but the superficial facade is never more present - are people just attending church - or are they there to worship God? We experienced it - most are just attending church.
When we live in Christian Suburbia, we let our things define us. We place great value in things and we hope that they will fulfill our desire for meaning and significance. Our identities can also be formed by others - and sometimes in our lives a casual meaningless comment can lead to deceit and destruction.
This represents the PLASTIC JESUS - Take a reality check - is your relationship with Christ worth dying for?
Mark 1:9 - 11 (Message Bible)
We live in a world that is performance driven - and sometimes we are caught asking ourselves - " why does God love me ? " The Father's total love for Jesus wasn't based on performance - it was based on a relationship – that is the same for a child of God.
Our value is based on who we belong to - when we live in Christian Suburbia - we are trying to earn the Father's affections and become worthy - STOP IT. He already loves you - just because of who you are. What would happen if we choose a committed relationship with God ?
What would happen if in our commitment - God would release his Holy Spirit and divine
blessings upon us? I encourage you to stop and listen
Jeremiah 6:16 " Stand at the crossroads and look - ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it and you will find rest for your soul."

Crazy Times
Ok, Okay I know I have had this one video about the internet band up for a long time and have had people ask me, Jeremy when are you going to update your blogspot. Guess what, THIS IS THE UPDATE!!! Let's see first I am now engaged to a very lovely woman named Lisa, which this all transpired on Christmas day. Mind you that this is her favorite day out of the entire year. Lisa and I meet September 24, 2006 at a Barns & Noble and ended up leaving there because there wasn't anyplace to sit down and have a coffee at Starbucks. I ended up taking her in my jeep up to Guanella Pass and stopping in the little town of Idaho Springs for dinner. Well we hit it off right from the start and it's been bliss ever since then.
